Being sick sucks.

The title says it all.

I've been busy and now I'm sick so I haven't been on the computer much. Plus I'm still working my way through Grey's to catch up with the up-coming season. September 26th, woot!

Bub is getting increasingly more confident with standing on his own. If he's beside something and wants to get to the other side he'd rather walk along it than crawl beside it. I don't think he'll be walking by his birthday but it's definitely getting close!

My tattoo was cancelled for Monday. I need to go into the shop and confirm a new appointment time, but the guy accidentally booked me for when he's not even in the shop. So it'll likely be another couple weeks. I'm sad. I was really excited.

Nothing new on the boy front. I've talked with the dude a few times and we were supposed to go out for lunch this past week but he didn't end up calling me to confirm a time or place. That's fine with me though. I'm not ready for a relationship right now anyway. And being lonely isn't a good enough reason to keep a sub-par guy around.

Ma'am starts grade 2 in 10 days. Yikes. I still don't have any of her school supplies or anything. Last year a supply list was mailed to me before the end of August. This year, nothing. She'll end up going on the first day with nothing in her bag at this rate.

Then Bub's birthday is in 11 days. We're just doing a little thing next weekend. I'm going to make him a smash cake and I'm super excited. Haven't decided what exactly I'm doing yet, but it'll be fab. I was thinking a gigantic cupcake. I'll probably make it special for Ma'am since she's more excited about his birthday than I am, haha.

Other than those not much has been happening. Once school starts I'm sure I'll have more to say.

She's home!

Finally. After 17 days my girl is finally home, in Ontario, where she damn well belongs. Everyone missed her a ton.

Bub has been standing on his own pretty frequently the past few days. He said, what sounded like, "momom" three times yesterday. All when he was crying and I couldn't pick him up of course.

My friend is apparently giving her boyfriend's friend my number. I'm kind of hesitant after what happened last time, but I've got to believe it can't happen to me twice in this short amount of time. Plus I'll be a little more cautious and won't be giving anyone my debit card anymore.

It's unfortunate that new people kind of suffer because of the shit that's happened in the past, but what can you do. Live and learn, I suppose.

I hate being insightful sometimes.

It really ruins the hate-buzz I've got going on for some people.

If someone's only ever been in teenage type relationships then of course all they're going to know is the teenage relationship and think that's how they all are. Of course they're not going to realize that some things are just wrong. Of course they're going to be immature and not know why they did something.

Of course.

See? Being insightful kind of sucks sometimes. Especially when you just want to hate the person but then start feeling sad for them because unless they're shown any different, they're going to continue the same path and mess up their life.

Too bad I'm not willing to be the one to show them how wonderful other human beings can be. I'm not really interested in being in a teenage relationship.

C'est la vie.

08 August 2013

Really though.

Why are some men such scum? And why do they seem to gravitate toward me? Do I have an invisible neon sign on my forehead?

Steph hasn't been fucked over this week! Come get her!

I was spending a lot of my time with a guy. Turns out he has a girlfriend, who may or may not be pregnant, and then stole money from me. No explanations or apologies, just an "I don't know" when asked why.

Lesson to learn here? Sadly, don't take things at face value. Investigate. Don't lend your debit card.
