Blog Challenge; day one.

Family story - how did your parents meet, how many brothers/sisters, tell us what you want.

Without consulting said parents, I am pretty certain they met while working at a pizza place. That or when they drove courier. Either one.

One brother, whom is 3 1/2 years younger than me. 6 months and 10 days to be exact. I could figure out the hours if I really wanted to, but it's 11 at night.

Moving on.

Parents divorced when I was 4 and some change. Dad moved to Alberta and my mom shacked up with a dude here in Ontario. Lived with him for roughly 7 years before they split.

As far as my primary family goes, that's as exciting as it gets. Now I live on my own with my own two Spawns, but that's a different story.

Blog Challenge

Yes.. I am still living. Shocker, I know. My days are full of busy with a 6 year old and a, now, 9 month old.

Plus Firefox randomly started going whacko last year and I haven't moved all of my bookmarks over yet, haha. Finally did that tonight.

And I have a treat for you all! A blog challenge! It was originally a TTC challenge, but I neither have an SO or am TTC, so I modified a few of the questions.

Creative slumps.

I've been in one. For a while.

I have so many ideas for the middle/ends of stories, but it's getting there that is sometimes a problem.

I wrote my first completed story in less than a week. The chapters just flew out. It's annoying when it doesn't always happen like that.

I guess having a new baby doesn't exactly give me time to think, let alone sit and actually write. Which I prefer to do uninterrupted.

I'm typing this with one hand and rocking Bub as we speak. Read? I type? I dunno, lol. Whatever is going on, it's happening with one hand.

C'est la vie.

Thank goodness.

School holidays are officially over and tomorrow Princess goes back to school.

Thank the Gods.

I got the apartment! My move in date is February the 2nd. Yay! :) I'm ecstatic. The square footage of the apartment itself is a little smaller, but I'm gaining a storage room, a balcony that I don't have to share, some big closets and most importantly... a third bedroom! Bub will be sleeping with me for a while but once he finally does move into his own room, he'll have one to move into.

So since we're moving it's going to be pretty busy around here. Packing and cleaning and getting stuff arranged for the new place. I'm going to the Hydro office tomorrow and will call my internet/cable/phone provider tomorrow, if I remember.

Bub is getting bigger and stronger every single damn day. He's wanting to sit up now so I'll need to get him some sort of device to help him do so. A Bumbo, probably. Or something with a tray attachment.

I had a pretty low-key birthday. Princess had a friend sleep over the night before. I showed her the new apartment, which she is very excited about, then was picked up to go to her dad's for the weekend. After my mom got off work she took me to get paint. Came back home and stayed in for the night. My mom takes me out for dinner for my birthday every year. This year we're going to Red Lobster :)

Bub gets his 4 month needles tomorrow. And I will probably cry more than he will because I'm a big wuss.

Even though school starts again tomorrow and I'm happy routine will be back to normal soon, I am not looking forward to dragging myself and the kids into the cold in the morning. I wish we could travel by Floo Powder, like they do in Harry Potter, haha. Wouldn't that be something.

Until next time.

01 January 2013

Well, I lied.

I know I said I would post more, but shit happens. I was busy during my pregnancy and then I had a baby.

He was born September 4th, 2:30 AM, 4 lbs 2 1/2 oz, 16.9 inches long. I was due October 7th so he was born in the 35th week. He'll be 4 months old on Friday (which also happens to be my 24th birthday!) so life is pretty full right now.

And now that, that's out of the way....

Actually, other than Spawn's 1 and 2, I don't do too much right now. Princess is in the middle of her Christmas holidays. Will I ever be glad they're over with and we can get back to a regular routine.

I have an interview tomorrow about an apartment. Cross your fingers and toes for me, as I would really, really love to move. The three of us are in a small two bedroom right now. Bub is only 4 months but he'll be mobile sooner than I know it and this place just won't cut it anymore.

January is actually really busy already. Between the three of us, there are 8 appointments this month. That doesn't include Princess's after-school group on Monday evenings or other things I'll need to do. Like sign her up for swimming.

I also want to get Bub and I into a mommy and baby swim class. He loves baths and water in general so I think he'd really enjoy it. I wonder if they're selling swim suits yet.

Christmas itself was okay. Saw a bunch of family and stayed with Bub's grandparents for a few days. His dad and I are not together nor do we plan to in the foreseeable future. It's been a rocky road from where we were a year ago, but hopefully things can get better.

Well that's all I can really think of to write right now. At this hour, anyway. It's time to get Bub and my butt to bed. I'll definitely try to write more often, although I'm not promising anything, lol.

Happy New Year's.
