Blog Challenge; day twenty seven.

When you were younger, what job(s) did you want to have?

I flip flopped between almost every single job there ever was.

Vet, teacher, firefighter, cop, musician, restaurants (servers, etc), chef, mechanic. And on and on.

I've finally settled on being a policewoman.

My grandpa was one and I really respect and look up to him for that. I want my kids and grandkids to look at me the same way.

Teefers

Looks like my little ankle biter is poking a biting accessory. I felt in his mouth earlier and there was the beginnings of a tooth! Yay!

I've been seriously slacking on my challenges. Honestly though I just couldn't be arsed to find out what the picture of the day is to make sure I can get a decent shot.

Ma'am left for Newfoundland early early this morning, although she left my home yesterday, so I've been pretty sad. She's gone until August 10th or 11th. The longest I've been away from her is just a week. I'm not happy she's gone.

Yesterday was also the anniversary of a friend's death. It was just a sad day all around.

Sunday is my grandparents' 60th anniversary lunch with the family. That's crazy, isn't it? 60 years. I can only hope to one day achieve something like that. It's truly an accomplishment.

So really, I'll try to get the challenges done actually on time, but really, I can't promise anything.

Blog Challenge; day twenty six.

If you could give advice to a newbie infertile, what would it be?

I seem to have missed taking this question out when I started the challenge. Because I'm not infertile, haha.

Well, I am now because I got a tubal in April but I wasn't before that.

Definitely not. Considering my son was conceived while I was taking the pill and the time he was conceived, we used a condom.

And although we weren't using condoms when my daughter was conceived, I'd only known her dad a month when I found out I was pregnant. Literally. I started my period, met him, ended my period, had sex with him, BOOM, pregnant.

So I'm kinda super fertile.

If I could give someone advice, though. I supposed it would be "don't give up"?

I've seen a lot of my friends and some family go through unexplained infertility. It always happened for them eventually.

I guess it's just the eventually that's hard to wait for.

Blog Challenge; day twenty five.

Describe the contents of your purse. What kind of purse do you have?

Very practical. Very non-assuming. Goes with every outfit.

These are the contents of my purse at any given time.

Deodorant.
Wallet.
Kleenex.
Notepad and pen.
Bus pass.
Sunglasses, if I have my contacts in.
Keys.
Little pouch with chap stick, emergency tampon, bobby pins, nail file, lighter, USB stick.
Phone.
Camera.
Cig case, but since I don't smoke I keep my change and bills in it.

Photo Challenge; inspirational.

Mother Nature is an inspiration for how many fucks she doesn't give.

/end short hiatus

No reason for it really. Just haven't felt like coming on here and posting.

But hopefully that will stop today and I'll continue getting my posts out.

In other news, Bub and I went to Ribfest yesterday. It's this thing where a bunch of people that make? smoke? cook? ribs come to one place and are judged and whatever. There's carnival type games and rides and a lot of food. I spent close to 60 bucks.

We had lots of fun though. My upper body got pretty red but it's evened out this morning, mostly. We went to the splash pad at the park near the event. Bub liked that.

At the end I bought a funnel cake (my first in like 3 years, by the way) and held it the first half of my way to my mom's car. I had to push the stroller over a curb so I set the cake on the top of the canopy, tipped the stroller and the funnel cake fell onto the road. It was on a plate, covered by a plate, in a plastic bag mind you, but it was ruined for me after that. I still ate it but I resented the whole experience, haha.

We had this huge wind and rain storm on Friday evening. I was actually at a restaurant eating dinner and the power went out. At the park yesterday we're just walking along and there are these trees ripped from the ground. Roots, grass, ground and all. We saw this other tree where half of it was ripped from the other half. Crazy stuff.

It's just after 11 in the morning and I'm waiting for Ma'am to get back from her dad's. We're going to my aunt's to see my aunt, uncle, grandparents and assorted cousins. We get together once a month to celebrate the birthdays that happen in the month. July is my brother and my aunt's fiance's daughter. No one's seen Bub since he just started sitting on his own, so it's been a while.

I suppose that means I need to get up and get my shit together. I don't think my family would like me showing up in my underwear, lol.
